SJV ACS offers travel awards for undergraduate and graduate students to attend the Spring or Fall ACS National Meeting each year. Preference will be given to those students who are presenting posters or talks. This award is sponsored by the St. Joseph Valley local section of the ACS.

Dr. Helen Free Memorial Scholarship

St. Joseph Valley Section offers two $500 scholarships to high school seniors within the geographical boundaries of the local section who plan to study chemistry or a related STEM field at a two- or four-year collegiate institution.
This includes Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, Stark, and St. Joseph counties in Indiana, and Berrien, Cass, and St. Joseph counties in Michigan.

Alfred Free-Russ Bitting Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is eligible for high school seniors who are a child, grandchild, or dependent of SJV ACS members, Project SEED awardees, or National Chemistry Olympiad participants within the St. Joseph Valley Section boundaries. One-four $500 scholarships will be awarded each year.
